Like his sister, Makoto, he had a lot of energy as a child.

As a child, he would often play with his sister and older brother, Takeru. He would often use him as a horse.

He is first seen during the Karasuno High vs. Wakutani Minami High match with two megaphone cones hanging off his shoulder. After the match ends, he and the rest of his family applaud the Wakutani South players for their performance. [1]
