Kenji Futakuchi (Japanese: 二口 堅治 Futakuchi Kenji) is a 2nd-year student at Date Tech High. He is the team's ace and wing spiker. After the 3rd years graduated, Futakuchi became the captain of the team.

Futakuchi is of above-average build and is one of the tallest players on Datekou. He has short brown hair, with his bangs falling naturally into a middle-parted curtain-type style. His eyes are sizable and brown with narrow eyebrows.

According to Moniwa, Futakuchi is a problematic kouhai with an easy-going personality. He's often seen arguing with Kamasaki, who is the complete opposite of him. Futakuchi often tries to provoke or taunt others, such as when he blocked Asahi saying, "Hey, what was that? He’s supposed to get dejected."

When Futakuchi becomes the captain of the team, he begins to become more responsible though still keeping his provocative nature. He begins to give off a more serious vibe and spends most of his time keeping the new setter, Koganegawa, in line.

Game Sense

Along with Aone and Kamasaki, Futakuchi's blocks make up Date Tech's Iron Wall. He can also spike and do jump serves at a normal level. He is Date Tech's ace.

After the third years retire, Date Tech's new Iron Wall becomes made up of Futakuchi, Aone, and first-year Koganegawa.

Takanobu AoneEdit

Before the Spring Tournament, Futakuchi and Aone are shown to be good friends. Futakuchi is first seen stopping Aone from intimidating Karasuno when requested by Moniwa. Aone is also seen to be the one keeping Kamasaki and Futakuchi in control when Futakuchi provokes Kamasaki.

During the Spring Tournament, it is presumed that Aone and Futakuchi are vice-captain and captain respectively.

Kanji Koganegawa Edit

Futakuchi is shown to have trouble dealing with Koganegawa's antics, often having to keep him in line and point out his mistakes. Koganegawa claims to understand, though it's debatable whether he actually gets what Futakuchi is saying.
