"Normal Movements" (Japanese: 通常運転 Tsūjō Unten) is the twelfth chapter of the Haikyū!! series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. It was published in the 24th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump’s 2012 series.

Overview Edit

Kageyama scolds Hinata after the latter gets hit in the head. Kageyama and Hinata turn the game around with one of their quicks.

Plot Edit

The ball hits the back of Kageyama’s head, and the set ends with (25-13), Aobajōsai’s win. Kageyama's absolutely livid and it gets worst when Tanaka and Tsukishima laugh at him, despite the combined efforts of Daichi and Sugawara to calm the setter down. Hinata stands still, knowing that he's screwed, and Kageyama starts advancing towards him, ignoring the team trying to stop him and when he is close enough, he stands over Hinata, asks him why he's so scared, and then slaps his own head to make his point. A confused Hinata asks Kageyama if his mistakes are excused, but Kageyama only snaps at him to get back into the game. Tanaka then comes over and as Hinata gets down on his knees, ready to accept his punishment, Tanaka starts yelling at him to quit worrying and that the game isn't just about Hinata and his clumsiness but about his team as a whole. This inspires Hinata into getting back into the game. The second set starts and at first, Aobajōsai is shocked by the speed of Kageyama’s toss to Hinata, but the toss fails the first time, giving Kindaichi a reason to mock Hinata and Kageyama. However, to his surprise, Kageyama apologizes to Hinata instead of yelling like he used to in Kitagawa Daiichi. The game restarts, and Kageyama tries setting to Hinata again, this time with success. Aobajōsai is left stunned when they realize that Karasuno has scored, and Kageyama looks over at his ex-teammates, getting ready to plan Karasuno’s counter-attack.
