"The Other Day" (Japanese: 前日 Zenjitsu) is the two hundred and twenty-ninth chapter of the Haikyū!! series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. It was published in the 49th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump’s 2016 series.
Overview
Daichi wakes up from a bad dream, which happens to be the first dream of the New Year. There are only four days left until the Spring Interhigh Tournament. Daichi meets up with Sugawara, Asahi and Shimizu for a shrine visit on New Years day. Later in the day, Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka, Nishinoya, and Daichi end up running into each other at the Karasuno gym after a shrine visit. Daichi forces them to get out of the cold before they get sick. Afterward, Daichi ends up meeting Ikejiri while walking around town. They talk about nationals and Ikejiri wishes Daichi good luck. It is now January 4th, the day they travel to Tokyo!
